Beauty is what moves me. I don’t comment on the state of the world today. I return the viewer to the foundation of human values, the heart of love. Without that, we are animals.
My oil painting methods are rooted in past centuries. But I keep loose and intuitive, to unite my inner state with the spirit of my subject. This produces a timeless quality that strikes a relaxing chord, a resonance in the viewer.
This takes me back to a past century.
